Context

Renewable energy and bioclimatic architecture are very good solutions to improve living conditions and to develop economic activities.

Number of local, national and international NGO’s, firms and authorities are working for the development of such solutions. These stakeholders have developed specific capacities to carry out their projects as successfully as possible. Relevant experiences were developed but there are very little time and few means devoted to knowledge management, exchange and dissemination. Besides, lots of projects have demonstrated that large scale impacts are achievable, but need methodologies, specifics knowledge and known-how as well as long terms efforts.

Project objectives

The project’s main objective is to consolidate (capitalization) and share knowledge & know-how developed by studies and experiences carried out by stakeholders in charge of renewable energy and bioclimatic architecture programs in Cold Asian Regions. By the analysis of 6 relevant programs, this project aim to develop a set of good practices recommendations and guidelines for future similar projects. A special attention will be paid to programs were scaling up practices were lead successfully in order to obtain large scale and sustainable impacts in climate change mitigation, poverty alleviation and economic activities generation.
