The objectives of the advisory board members will be to share their experience, provide guidance and contribute to the finalization of the good practice guide. They will guarantee the quality and the legitimacy of the project’s deliverables that will be produced.
Advisory board members are selected according to their recognized competencies in order to bring their expertise in their respective fields :
Robert Celaire. He has gained 29 years experience on energy efficient and environmental building from tropical areas to very cold climates. He has experience in cold regions for example in the mid 80’s with the launching and the technical assistance to a EU funded pilot passive solar project in Ladakh and with a long term consultancy for various franco-chinese projects dealing with energy efficient buildings in north China.
Alba Gamara. Director of CINER (Information Center on Renewable Energy) in Bolivia , she is a consultant of various international, multi and bilateral organizations. In 2007 and 2008, she was the South America Regional Coordinator of the Global Village Energy Partnership - GVEP International. She has relevant experience in project evaluation and monitoring as well as project management with appropriate and participative methods.
Silvia Guimaraes Yafai. Head of International Programmes at the Building and Social Housing Foundation (BSHF) in the United Kingdom. Her areas of focus include energy-efficient housing design and construction, project evaluation and the scaling up and transfer of good practice.
Jun Hada. Team leader for the Access to Infrastructure Services Programme for Practical Action Nepal (former ITDG). She is an architect and urban planner with very good experience in rural/urban housing, sanitation and renewable energy in Nepal. Besides, she is working on the scaling up of healthy housing and renewable energy based solutions.
Christophe Rynikiewicz. Doctor of economy, specialized in carbon finance. In addition to his expertise on carbon finance and CDM, his academic background will be an added value to guarantee the validity of the methodology.
Thomas Schamasch. Energy and Environment Consultant. 2 years of experiences in small scale renewable systems sizing for autonomous installations in Quebec. Presently working in Social Economy applied in the field of wastes and partially in cooperative housing and communities’ activities.
GERES, a French NGO, is experienced in bioclimatic architecture in cold areas of Himalayas. Vincent Stauffer, GERES Country Director India, specialist has a good knowledge of social and political context of regions concerned by the project scope.
Sonam Wangchuk. After working in Ladakh for 20 years where he spearheads a government school reform movement called Operation New Hope (ONH) and developed on passive solar school close to Leh. At present he is working to developed Low-cost Climate Responsive Buildings in the framework of the Education for Freedom Project (EFP).
